We only see some of the latter with KDE4 and a new Gnome. These new versions are welcome, and since Fedora is known as a bleeding edge distribution, one should wait one month or so after any Fedora version is released in order to do an upgrade or install. As the linux application grows in complexity, the amount of interaction testing and diverse hardware testing for regression analysis and for just plain quality assurance needs to increase. What if Fedora was to be released every 7 months, where that extra month was given towards quality assurance. I would be glad to wait 30 days for a product where every software on it works "out of the box".
