Hardware requirements described by authors:

486 processor or newer, 48 MB of ram for installation (it is possible to install using another system and then run with something like 12 MB), a cdrom, about 190 MB of free disk space (for the base system, more if you will build your packages)
CDRom reader.

is there any link that voltalinux is tested on 12 MB of ram?
Or any info how much is minimum requirements for this distro?

Anyway good to know, i always suggested DSL distribution on low hardware
